Hey y'all! There is only one week left in April and you know what that means...It's gonna be May! It also means that I need to update you on what is currently on my radar. If you haven't seen one of these posts before, this is basically where I tell you what I have been up to over the last month and what I have been enjoying.
In Due Time. I just finished this sweet, 60-Day devotional, today. It's by Caroline Harries (she has an awesome blog, too) and each day includes a verse of scripture and about two pages of encouragement. It has really helped me to feel at peace during my wait.
U.K./Europe Trip. Last month, we decided that we weren't going to continue to put our lives on hold while we "wait" for me to get pregnant. Instead, we are going to continue to go on our adventures and live our lives, while we continue to pray that we will one day be parents, somehow...someway. So, you can look forward to more travel-related posts coming! In June, for our third wedding anniversary, we will be headed to London, Paris, Bayeux, and Dublin! I am already counting the days!
New Girl. It's back!! That wait was far too long. When I read that there would be one final season of New Girl, but it would include a time jump, I really didn't know what to think. I have watched this show from the beginning and I really liked how the last season ended, but of course you never want a favorite show to end. I love that the couples seem to be living happily ever after, but I have a feeling that we haven't seen an end to the angst. The jokes are still great and I still love the characters, but I will withhold any more judgment of this season, until I have seen more.
Stiegl Radler (Grapefruit). I was never a beer drinker, before I met Justin. Even now, it isn't my first choice when it comes to adult beverages. However, when you mix a light wheat beer with a little fruit juice, well you have just created something magical. These grapefruit radlers are my favorite way to drink beer!
May Designs. I have been absolutely addicted to May Books! I started using them consistently, in my faith journal, for gratitude and prayer and I have just love them. The prints are beautiful and there are so many options for the inside pages. They work really well as gifts, also! I have given personalized books to my mom, my mother-in-law, and even to my husband (they have some more masculine patterns/colors available).
Headbands. I like 'em wide and super stretchy! The bolder and brighter the colors, the better! My favorite way to wear headbands is with my hair in a high ponytail (or messy bun). Recently, I have been sporting this look more often, because it's easy and low maintenance, but also super cute. It also helps me stretch my shampoo days out further!
Hopeful. If you have been keeping up with our infertility journey, then you know that we just finished up a medicated, IUI cycle. Well, it didn't work out the way we had hoped, but we are at peace with it. We decided not to continue pursuing fertility treatments at this time. For now, we are going to focus on planning our anniversary trip and working on our own health. I will be taking a break from charting. With that being said, we are still very hopeful. We know that we will be parents, even if it's not on the timetable we were expecting.
Until next time!
